I wash hats every 2 months. Never use a dish washer. Not only will it keep your plates from smelling like hobo's taint but the soap is not designed to be lifting.
•Fill bath tub up with >6" hottest water you can get it to.
•Drop in a cup of laundry detergent while it's filling.
•Place hats, use some additional carpet cleaner spot spray on the really dirty boys. Let sit for an hr, then flip hats over.
•Use 5" long detail brush to brush away the sods that get lifted by the detergent under water.
•Rinse under faucet, then air dry.
Kid you not, it will shock you how many of your brown hats were once white.

OK... I've got lots of hats that I'll never wear.. usually buy two of every one I like so that I never have to wash.. Prize package to the one who posts a picture of the nastiest hat by tomorrow at noon central time. I've got one packed in box that would win for sure if I could just find that box

Thank you for not titling this thread “Warshing hats”. Cant stand it when people say “warshing machine” or “warshing winders” or “warshing windas”. ...or those who have a boat with trailor for sell?

Maybe we should revisit the Shampoo thread and then these hats might not need washing??? I like where you're going with this let's say you just wore the hat when he took a shower and shampooed the hat instead of your head I wonder how that would turn out Mind blown and will be testing this tonight. Update, I screwed this all up. It was too confusing and I got out of the proper rotation and threw the hat away.
