This is the circle of life for all my caps. I have a few that I bought and a few freebies. I don't like to pay more than about $35. Mostly Under Armour, Columbia and New Era. Academy has some Columbia's I really like right now.

I disposed of my collection about two years ago. I keep about 10-12 on hand. Like others have mentioned, they are passed down to different wearing cycles. New, fishing, work, trash.

mine were all ruined when the house in colorado flooded due to a broken pipe while I was gone on a river trip (almost a month for 2 weeks in the grand canyon), electricity was out for about 3 days and when it came back on so did the furnace. oooops!

lost almost every picture I had, all my hats, most of my clothes and a ton of other stuff including any upholstered furniture due to the black mold. wiped me out and took about 3 weeks till I could move back in full time, had to hire a co. to come clean it and do the mold abatement, I was lucky insurance covered all but 500.00 of it.

lol, opened the front door to about 2' of water. it had been leaking from a crack in a pipe under the kitchen sink for probably 5-7 days.
it was not cheap for the insurance co. to fix, had our guys working on it in evenings helping me do sheetrock and such. took a total of about 5 months to get it all done. took a month just for mold abatement and drying out the studs after sheetrock was sripped. sucked bad.

it was a "here, hold my beer while I cry" moment.
