Looking good! According to the last 10 day I saw. Friday afternoon or Saturday after the morning dew burns off looks like a decent spray day unless they up Sunday's rain chance. Or the following weekend looks as of now clearing out and heating up.

Told my neighbor I was taking over his part. Yesterday was day 5 after spraying his side with a Celsius, MSM, Certainty cocktail. Starting to work pretty well.

This is a great weekend to get out Scotts GrubEx with high rain chances next week. This isn't a contact killer but a preventative for the next spawn. Applying this later in the year will do you no good. You can buy it pretty much anywhere.

What about the more all encompassing bug/insect controls like spectracide, amdro , big b gone, and sevin?

This weekend also?

Isn’t there something else you are supposed to put down in August? when grubs are in a larval stage?

I pass on all the above mentioned for the most part Doc. Throwing those down is a perfect storm for resistance IMO. I treat as needed. Prevent the Grubs to get in the larva stage is Scotts Grubex. But August is way too late for a app.

Thanks for the reminder Derek. Just ordered some from Amazon for $16.90 which seems to be a decent price.

Doing some reading on it. It looks like a solid choice for you. I would look at the improved variety of it. Called SR 5250 Strong Creeping Red Fescue. Looks like it has more heat tolerance than standard red. You might also talk to your local Extension Office. They can be a lot of help for what will do well in your area and conditions.

Roller is that 6 acres virgin land? Get a Waypoint test and lets see what's going there. Would love to see a test if nothing has been done to it for a few years. I know you don't want to maintain much but lets collaborate and rock out on some of it.

I should have included this in my grub post. I'd get a app down of Scotts DiseaseEX this weekend too. Amazon has it for $17.50 right now. AI is Azoxystrobin which is systemic. So if you're in a time crunch you can apply it to wet leaf blades. Disease is something you want to stay ahead of and pressure is building. I'm more worried about fungus than I am grubs.

It is currently used for hay production, my neighbor hays it. The yard will be about 1/2 acre that I want to maintain along with an area around my frontage fence, drive and tank.
