Selling my house.
Called ATT to disconnect internet service. Told him what I wanted to do and why. Need to connect you to a different department, please hold the line.....

I don’t have direct tv, can I reach someone who can disconnect my internet?

“Para enspanol, oprima uno....”

Today has been a whale of issues. This is the cherry on top. I’m normally pretty quiet and reserved on these things, but no more. The gloves are off.

I welcome your replies.

Had them for years. Back to the SBC home phone days. Then Cingular and ATT wireless. Home internet too. But CS is a joke. I’ll go to the store, sit on a table and get it done in person so they don’t get it wrong.

Used to work for a cable company. Heard so many times that CS told them the wrong info. Tried to brush it off, but the thought lingered. Believe now it’s truth 98%. Because people don’t give a rat’s rusty behind as long as they get off the phone.

There’s a sincere business opp for some one who will take CS to the top. But in the meantime, all hail the slackers getting paid for your dimes.

I’m about done. Going to be very little I spend for subpar products and services from now on.

The poor CS and response is their business model. I am sure it is cheaper that way.

I prefer going to a dentist for a root canal than try to reach anyone at a phone company, a utility company, or a department store. This includes ATT, Home Depot, Academy, Walmart, you name it. Automation is the killer of real life conversation.

I have Peoples internet service at my lake house on Fork. Not out there all the time so don't if my experience with their CS is representative but I must say it is some of the best I've dealt with. I live in the metro mess and have had more than my share of heartache with AT&T, Spectrum, Oncor, et. al. Last time I had an issue with my internet service I called Peoples, was transferred to the department who could help me and was told to expect a call back within 15 minutes. Ten minutes later I get a call from a young lady who said "I understand ya'll are having trouble with your service". As soon as I heard ya'll I knew I was not talking to a call center in India or the Metro Mess for that matter. On top of that 30 minutes after the call a service technician was at my place and fixed the problem.

ATT sucks, it doesn't get any better when you're paying a grand a month. In fact it may be worse.

I've had T-Mobile for 18+ years now. Do they have the best coverage, No. Best price, No again. But you cant be their CS, so I'm going for 19 years.

I started work with SWBT then SBC and then SBC bought ATT. Back in the day it was much better CS when someone could pick up phone and talk to a human. I remember when they started the automation for CS they said It would just be one in five customers getting the automated call and in the beginning a customer could dial zero to bypass and speak to a human. I knew when this started CS would go down hill rapidly and it did. It is just as bad or worse trying deal deal with them after retiring.

Times must be getting tough for AT&T. We had a door-to-door salesman come by yesterday.

After I explained how crappy their CS was and that I would never use any of their services again, he was probably sorry he ever took that job.
