I bought a cover from sealskin boat covers in February, it arrived March 2. No instructions with it . I’ve had several boats and covers so I figure how hard can it be. I could not figure it out so I called and asked for instructions. I learned the reason I couldn’t figure it was I didn’t have the proper straps. I called back and they said they would send them to me. Month and a half go by and no straps. I Called again and they apologized and said they would send them right away. Got a package a few days later with the same wrong straps I already had. I called back and the customer service guy told me they sent me the right straps . He actually argued with me and told me to go out and try and put it on. It went bad from there. Told him to send me the instructions for returning it for a refund. They just notified me they couldn’t do a refund because it’s been over a month . I’m pretty hacked off . If I had known they cant get me the right straps I would asked for a refund months ago.
Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

I would start by registering a complaint with the better business bureau.

Definitely going to do that.

Awesome. Hopefully that response from them is not a sign of things to come.
Is there a way you can have some correct straps made? Inexpensively?

The case opened prior to the 30 days and is still ongoing. The company has not been able to resolve the issue therefore you should be entailed to the refund. At least that's the argument I would make.
If they still say no, ask to be transferred to their legal department because you intend to seek litigation through a small claims court. Collect all of the necessary contact information to mail them a letter. Address, name, title, tax i.d.#, legal business name and dba, etc. If they still say no, put it in writing that you demand settlement within 30 days of receiving your letter. Include your supporting documentation of all the attempts you made, people you spoke with, dates you called, etc. Mail it certified mail with signature receipt.
If they still say no.... well, try to follow through with a small claims court. But that's all the scare tactics I can come up with.

I have tried filing a case with the better business Bureau. Waiting to hear from them.
