Here is our latest family fishing video from our April trips. This was one of the funnest videos fir me to make now that Jaxon is a full fledged catfish angler. Heโs finally cranking them in with the rod out of the rod holders and itโs been a real hoot watching him battle these fish. Heโs also a heck of a net man. Heโs growing up quick and turning into a hardcore fisherman with each week. From eating Shad eyeballs to catching his first Jr lake record, I will forever remember Aprilโs fishing trips of 2021. Were going after Flatheads Saturday night so next video will hopefully be of me and my son hugging a couple of Dinosaurs. Tight lines my friends...Fish Hard!

Great job. Very entertaining Chris. Where did the background music come from?

Thanks my Catfishn bros! The song is off Mike Morazzniโs album Angler Talk. You can get the songs off I tunes which is where all my music comes from. My first fishing video was to F-I-S-H-I-N-G off that album. Those were some great time looking back at that video. Really glad I got into these videos to memorialize all the great times. Really excited to share those kind of trips with my son now that he is rollin with me every trip! Here is my first crack at making a catfish video.

Thanks amigos! I didnโt realize how difficult it was going to be to video our fishing adventures when I first started. Its tough! Thanks for watching and I will continue to get better at making them. With the rate that technology is advancing there is sure to be a drone that hovers around you all day videoing and capturing the good stuff. Be cool to hit a button and have that thing follow you around the lake all day.

Chris, I feel the same way. It's hard enough to fish and then add fishing with a 4 year old. Put the video recording on top of that and it gets pretty difficult. I have come to really enjoy the video editing part of it. What software do you use?

I use the iMovie app on my phone Tim. I do have a GoPro and I use it a little but itโs a pain in the tail. I have a ton of footage from it but it has a lot of wasted video from being left on. I used to use the loop but I would forget to hit stop after the action and it would loop over and I would loose my best footage. Being able to flip the screen to mirror and knowing itโs actually on and recording makes all the difference for me. Then being able to easily access them to look at and to edit. I use my phone a lot more because of the ease of operation. Seems like someone could come up with a camera that is more like an iPhone where the battery will last all day, you can record yourself in mirror screen and see exactly what is being recorded and you can easily delete wasted videos quickly. I have been trying to condition myself to use both the GoPro and the iPhone together so that I can get better action footage with the GoPro along side the after action footage of the iPhone. It has taken me 2 yrs to finally remember to take a few pics along side some video to capture the moments better.

I may be doing it the hard way (I usually do) but I have a video editor called Movavi. I like it, It's easy to load video or photos. I use the go pro type cameras. I have remote microphones because I hate it when the audio is bad. I use my iphone for photos and sometimes for video too. I usually let the gopros run and just edit out the dead time. I know what you mean about the batteries. They don't last long at all. I have 2 cameras and 6 batteries. It is a learning process...
