Went to change the gear case oil on my 2016 150 hp mercury pro XS. The washers for the drain and fill screws look to be metal. I was expecting some type of rubber o-ring. Is that metal washer re-useable? Is it some type of crush washer?

I reuse them as long as they look ok, I have used an Oring when I was in a bind. Definitely the wrong application for an Oring though.

Thank you very much. I found some of the yellows on Amazon.
