I’ve had a ton of run ins with game wardens.

Only had 1 bad one when I was fishing solo in Louisiana at 14 or 15 years of age. A game warden liked to hit me when he cut a point really close to the shore and I was fishing on the other side.

He boarded my boat and checked every square inch of the boat. You would have swore he witnessed me breaking the law.

Every run in since then have been extremely friendly. I’ve received a warning for no fire extinguisher in an all Aluminum boat because he deemed my 12 gallon portable gas tank (I removed it and filled it in town without trailering boat and replaced full tank) as a permanent fuel tank.

Borrowed my brother-in-law’s boat once and he renewed registration but didn’t put on stickers, I got a warning for that.

Was threatened once for tagging a redhead hen as a redhead hen, game warden claimed it was a ring neck. I told him if I changed tag I my bird would be incorrectly tagged. He argued with me and then the biologists showed up doing their harvest surveys and confirmed it was a redhead. I was 16 and my dad was telling to just tag it as a ring neck, but I wouldn’t because it wasn’t.

There is a young lady at Amistad that is welcome to inspect my boat for zebra mussels anytime.

Watched a episode last night, pretty good

Those shows are entertainment, but the real world is when those cameras aren't running!
Those "North Woods Law" shows, it seems every episode they are sending a rescue party up the side of a mountain to bring someone down on a stretcher because they sprained an ankle slipping and falling on the trails.
I told my wife they need to close those trails since they are so dangerous, or the people that dumb.

The show seems to be somewhat a knockoff of Lonestar Law. Much different from the Northwoods Law.

My only notable experience with the La. Wildlife officers was in West Cove Calcasieu Lake La. when I'd hit a mud bar (gumbo type mud) and blocked the intake on my 35hp Johnson tiller drive. Seized the motor. Wardens pulled up and towed me the 2 miles back to the ferry at Cameron.

Best part of the La. Law show was the theme music at the end of the show!

Only had a few encounters and I would say they went ok but the GW’s seem to come in with some aggression. But I kinda get that.
Was on Fork and the GW had moved in on us. Us being around half a dozen boats. So I’m In the very back of the cove and they’ve checked a couple boats already. So I start rolling out because I’m out of water and I make it to the boat lane. Here they come and chase me down. LOL, I knew I was all good but I know they thought they had caught a runner.

Should be interesting.

Every year during dove season we get hit by Game Wardens, usually several of them. Most have been super friendly. Only one guy got a ticket, he forgot the plug in his gun.

Fishing with my Dad on Palestine early one morning. I was in the back of the boat and heard someone say "Good Morning" Looked behind me and there was a game warden in a camo kayak. Sneaky rascal.

Best part of this show will be when wardens come across a bird, raccoon, possum, turtle, nutria, or deer hit by a car and state they will donate to a needy family.
