As usual bass in Medina are small. This isn't a lake to find anything over a pound. I still enjoyed myself though. A first for me I caught a sunfish on a spoon! I also caught a catfish on the spoon and had one hooked that was in the 3-5 pound range. It actually threw the hook like a bass. I also saw a cat take a bug on the surface, they are acting weird in that lake. I caught a some small LMB, largest 2 were about a pound or so, and a couple small spotted bass. I didn't know they were in here but they look just like the ones I catch in the Guadalupe. Also I may have caught a smallie, let me know what you think. A good day overall even if the bass are small and take some work to find.

Nice!
There are some moderate/biggies in there, just not many. I have pulled a few between 3-5.
The best are the striper if you can get them to bite.

I have never seen a striper there, but I've never caught one so that's not saying much.

Lotsa hybrids in there.. Usually deep during the day.. But will school on occasion on the surface..

Next time you go out there try a Zoom trick worm on a Texas rig with an 1/8 oz weight.. Put a little chart dye on the tail.. Bout a half inch..

You'll catch more bass.. Or a Rapala minnow imitator in a small size..

It is a beautiful lake.. Lotsa water or not..
