Thinking about going, trying something new. Never been there. Any general info would be appreciated.

It's about that time of year there you go early and leave early. Recreation crowd is in full bloom.

CC can be fun Dec-Feb when you do not chance getting ran over. If you like docks, seawalls and hunting brushpiles it's a lake you'll enjoy.

It's a beating with the boat traffic and seawalls, like a washing machine

Can't wait, not the size of the boat but the motion of the ocean.

One of the most underrated lakes in our area in my opinion. I have had very few bad trips on CC in my years. Just go junk fishing and flip some docks and have some fun.

My in-laws live in Log Cabin and have a house in one of the canals. All I’ve ever had luck on was a gold rat-l-trap in the summer and a craw trap in winter. You can catch huge white bass (or as they say there, sand bass) by bridge piling #3 on the north end of the Lob Cabin bridge. I’ve seen em catch crappie off that piling too using jiggin spoons

Watch out on the north end of the bridge, chunk concrete is down there and it comes out a long way.
