Was in downtown Austin this week. It had been about 5 years since I’d been down. Terrible what’s happened to that once great city. You had to get up to 290 to find open real estate under an overpass. Disgraceful.

City of austin bought an old candle wood suites up by Dell, in Williamson county but still in Austin. They want to use it to house homeless. WillCo and the owner of the hotel adjacent to the one the city owns have filed suit. The austin mayor wants to buy more hotels, and has asked for a $400mm slush fund to use for “helping the homeless”

Stick them in the dorms at tu, they will feel right at home with 50k other degenerates and morons.

They’re homeless for a reason.

Maybe we could get China to run re-education centers for us as a payback for COVID.

Make being homeless a crime. 2 years min hard labor. Teach them a trade, make them build stuff for tax payers, feed and clothe them, they earn money so when they get out they can afford basic amenities for the for the first few months and set up places that will hire them. Mental illness then we treat them best we can. Homeless 2nd strike 2 years again hard labor, 3rd strike 5 years hard labor. This will force the lazy and druggies to other states. Simple.
