I for one would like to talk more about the olds dying.
Once they are gone, will that stupid law about not being allowed to buy beer before noon on Sunday go away? If so, I’m all for the olds dying. Sorry, both Bobs. I would stick to the topic about renewing a CHL. Talking by Old's dying is not a good idea! he hates olds and veterans. probably kicks dogs too. I think he is just yanking some chains, as the old saying goes.

Just because I hate myself doesn’t mean that I hate all veterans. I did go on a cruise to Alaska just so I could club baby seals once. So satisfying.
Team wolfs I had to perform. It took a minute to get it all in my mouth and another five to swallow it all.

I don't think I've read this in the Constitution... "the right to bear arms" ( for a fee).
So, no on the chl.

All they need is your LTC. Think about it, Hop. You get pulled over by some angry police officer, who thinks you're racist because you're white. "I needed to secure his weapon" is all they need to search. Is this not the case?
BTW, I apologize for that previous comment Bob. That was out of line. I am sorry.
No problem Streater. This^^ whole saga is an excellent example of how to wish for the extermination of a man and his generation, and still end up on friendly terms. Kudos to you both!

Hard to believe. Something good for the people finally happened.
Maybe there is hope.

It’s just a distraction. This is all happening as the CAD’s are sending out appraisals.

So if it is truly "constitutional carry" everyone has a right to carry?
Or is it going to be "statutory carry" where there are limitations placed on a person's right to constitutionally carry? And it is up to the legislature to decide on what limitations are acceptable and what limitations are not? Convicted felons do not have the right to carry. They lost it! So there are/were limits in the Constitution on who has the right to bear arms and who doesn't and felons are one of the groups that don't? Or is that a limitation that has come after the fact from someone (legislators at some level) making a decision about it that (the majority of) people are okay with, but those same people are not okay with other limitations (like a fee, like having to show your proficiency, etc.)?? Sorry, I am just trying to understand what limitations are allowed and what limitations are not?

Sorry, I am just trying to understand what limitations are allowed and what limitations are not? The 2nd amendment is the only right that can be denied based on behavior. But recent events lead me to believe the first and fourth are getting battered.

So, no on the chl. exactly. User fees are common and accepted unless they become onerous.

Won't we still need ltc to carry into other states? So I guess I will this, already have it so why not renew it? Because you forfeit your 4th amendment right. Cops don't need probable cause if you hold a LTC. "I'm looking for a handgun" is all they need. I've had my LTC for 21 years. Been traffic stopped, no problems. But then, I don't have a 5 mile long rap sheet either. Never been an issue for me either. If anything the officers have been more chill once I tell them.
