Cars are going to less cylinders with the assistance of turbochargers which don’t package well in outboards.

Has that Yamaha VMAX motorcycle vibe. i just ordered a new 200 Merc. No regrets after seeing this tho. Sure they are both fine machines.

I miss my old F series motor. Put 1000 hours on that thing and literally the only thing I ever did to it was the scheduled maintenance and replaced 1 sensor. Sure can't say the same for my SHO. The SHO has been an ok motor but nothing like my F series.

I don't hate it but I prefer the current look just based on pictures.

I am a Yamaha guy.........Overdue and I like it. The Merc's have grown on me as well, especially when you hear one crank up...................Dang they sound good!!!


Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.
