I would stick to the topic about renewing a CHL. Talking by Old's dying is not a good idea!

he hates olds and veterans. probably kicks dogs too. whip

grin I think he is just yanking some chains, as the old saying goes.

Just because I hate myself doesn’t mean that I hate all veterans.

I did go on a cruise to Alaska just so I could club baby seals once. So satisfying.

I don't think I've read this in the Constitution...
"the right to bear arms" ( for a fee).

So, no on the chl.

No problem Streater. thumb cheers

This^^ whole saga is an excellent example of how to wish for the extermination of a man and his generation, and still end up on friendly terms. Kudos to you both!

Hard to believe.
Something good for the people finally happened.

Maybe there is hope.

Convicted felons do not have the right to carry. They lost it! eeks

So there are/were limits in the Constitution on who has the right to bear arms and who doesn't and felons are one of the groups that don't? Or is that a limitation that has come after the fact from someone (legislators at some level) making a decision about it that (the majority of) people are okay with, but those same people are not okay with other limitations (like a fee, like having to show your proficiency, etc.)?? Sorry, I am just trying to understand what limitations are allowed and what limitations are not?

The 2nd amendment is the only right that can be denied based on behavior. But recent events lead me to believe the first and fourth are getting battered.

User fees are common and accepted unless they become onerous.

I know of no other constitutional amendment that requires a fee to exercise.

Because you forfeit your 4th amendment right. Cops don't need probable cause if you hold a LTC. "I'm looking for a handgun" is all they need.

roflmao I've had my LTC for 21 years. Been traffic stopped, no problems. But then, I don't have a 5 mile long rap sheet either.

Never been an issue for me either. If anything the officers have been more chill once I tell them.
