I lived in Mexico for the better part of a year. Finest tequilia I have come across: CAVA DE ORO EXTRA AÑEJO ~100 bucks a bottle, but if you hunt around you can find it a little cheaper online.

I am a bourbon guy but I keep a bottle of Hornitos Anejo, per one of the recommendations I got here. I think Doc CC suggested it. Glad you enjoy it. #notfail

1942 Casa amigos anejo Tromba (good value tequila) Codigo anejo
For Rita's I use cheap brown tequila Love the Codigo... It's very smooth. A couple of sips(drinks) and your ready to go.

Last time a drank a bottle of tequila I woke up face first on the carpet about three foot inside the front door. I don’t touch the stuff anymore.

1942 is the best I’ve had, but I don’t drink it often. 1942 is slightly less sweet than Gran Cava De Oro. Little more expensive. Both are fantastic.
