Be grateful youre shocked at all the different rod lengths. that means your not likely a full blown tackle addict like some of us junkies on here roflmao

I got a small boat and only run 8 rods (usually throw each one throughout the day, gotta love a tough lake that forces you to junk fish 🤦‍♂️)...but if I had a boat where I could comfortably store my rods I would run way more technique specific rods. right now I got about 4 technique specific rods and the rest different kind of M/H's 7 foot and bigger. i feel that M/H in the 7'-7'6" is a great all around type of rod.

Go big or stay at home as they say! I've got one rod shorter then 7'.

Once you throw a big crankbait on a 7'9 you'll understand.

And some of us are big rod kind of guys......................... banana

Ok Im good with that. I am a tackle nut and like having technique specific rods. Some rods are good for many things but I don't like retying a lot. I just set one rod down and pick up another one to use. One thing you want to do is balance your equipment to the weight of the bait you are throwing and choose a reel gear ratio for the technique you plan to use.
Since I choose to be technique specific with my equipment, I am not brand specific. I choose whatever rod and reel I think does the job the best for me. A lot of trial and error over the years.

Ez is spot on. It takes some time and research to get everything the way you like it.
