San Marcos river at my grandparents house in Martindale was always a favorite growing up.

I can certainly tell you my least favorite I have an idea. This summer we invite 5-6 guys to join you early in the AM to fish your pond until it gets hot. Then head back to the pool and make same burgers and have some brews while taking a dip in your lovely pool. Like a "Stay-cation" OT GT2. What do you say? In; I am undefeated at Marco Polo and never cheat.

My back yard...we have a nice sized pool and I enjoy it as much as the kids do. 3-4 a week normally.

Not exactly in Texas, but the natural hot springs on the Mexico side of the Rio Grande in the Lower Canyons is awesome. Especially when you've been paddling and rough camping for 3 days.

I use to swim in all the local mud holes. Lewisville, Grapevine, Lavon, & Lake Worth. Also Texoma, Possum Kingdom, South Padre and Whitney. The latter ones I would not call mud holes. My favorite swimming holes are rivers in West Virginia and the Florida Panhandle. After swimming in the rivers in West Virginia it took a hot chic to get me in one of the local mud holes.
