I don't know if they are still doing it or if it was strictly COVID related, but I went to Lake Tawakoni State Park last year and was told that I had to have a reservation at least 2 days in advance to use their boat ramp. I think that is total BS. That is one lake I like using the state park due to their security. I don't trust public boat ramps on that lake.

That was due to COVID. Been using that ramp this year with no issue. Show your pass or pay at gate station and go.launch. No reservations required now.
