I was about to post something like this.

He passed doing something that he loved. I just hope and pray he did not suffer.

Prayers for his family and friends and boater. They will find peace in knowing he died doing
what he loved.

Thanks for sharing his story with us. He had a full life for sure. I actually saw him play in the Super Bowl back then and the pic of him standing next to Namath is great! Sad for the family, but he was doing what he enjoyed when he left us. Prayers for all involved.

Funny thing he used to say (yeah it took a bunch of Texas boys to help New York to win a super bowl) lol

I never got to watch him play but it looks like he had a great career with the Jets, averaged more ypc than Jason Wittten in his prime!
I bet he had some great stories about Broadway Joe.

RIP Sir angel2

What a shame. Prayers to all involved.

Hearing that a co-angler fell out of the boat and drowned really brings home the issue for the Lake Fork anglers. Since we are mostly seniors we stress the importance of having two anglers in each boat. For safety, for scoring and for sharing the experience and techniques.

Since I have co-angled behind a pro I know a lot of times they are moving along at a pretty good clip and unless you yell I am stuck or get the net they don't really pay a lot of attention to what is going on behind them. As big as Lammons was it is hard to believe you would not notice he is gone right away. And it was reported that the boater tried to get him out of the water.

What a tragedy.
