I’m liking Dallas drafting guys with character issues. I don’t need football players to be saints. I want them mean and nasty. Gives the team an edge, especially on defense. Am I wrong?

Depends. You don’t want a women beating rapist thief. Now some fistfights and a little hazing. My kinda football player!’

Charles Haley was one of the meanest sobs to walk the planet. He had a great career and never got arrested.

They’re kids. Playing in a high profile sport inside a bottle in today’s digital world.

I was no saint with my own character issues at that age. I like good character, high quality players like everyone else. But I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt for a while. Except Jameis Winston - hit a woman and you’ll always be a punk in my book.

Parsons "issue" was basically false....but as long as they are available I don't care....football games are won by angry men with barely controlled rage

You can take the thug out of the hood but you can’t take the hood out of the thug. Roger Goodell sold out to the thugs. He doesn’t want to be called the R word.

If you are going to follow football, you have to separate what you know is right and what kind of team you want on the field. Either admit you want it to be a blood sport with the biggest, baddest men on earth to play the game, or take the watered down version of the game . There really isn’t any other options. I choose not to support the league anymore.

I'd rather have guys that will be on the field instead of jail or suspended. There are plenty of guys with attitude/chip on the shoulder that do the right thing
