Make your own: brine it, buttermilk it, pound it, stomp on it, do whatever you do then:

mix 2 teaspoons corn starch, 1/2 cup flour (or cornmeal) & 1 tablespoon seasoning mix and the original colonel will smile on you again and again:

As an aside, when an original 3 piece meal topped $2 in the late 60's, my dad said: "I'll never darken their doorway again." I just wonder what he'd think now.

Not sure what’s up with all the Kentucky posts, but OP needs to have an endorsement deal because it made me get one of their fill up bowls.

Best chicken I ever ate came from a KFC in grand Cayman. Sat outside eating it with a whole swarm (flock?) chickens running around my feet picking up any pieces that fell. They'd even eat the bones of their long lost comrades.

I like my KFC, the same way that I like my women, skinny legs with plump breast!

I'm not a fried chicken guy but I'm told the deli at Brookshire Brothers is the best in the area.

Almost forgot about Bill Millers fried chicken. Used to get that for lunch when I worked at the Academy in San Antonio off the 1604 loop at Potranco. Wasn't the best, but was pretty good.

Best fried chicken I ever had was at the Brookville Hotel near Abilene Kansas. Looks like they were a victim of the 2020 Covid crisis and after over 100 years they closed permanently. One of those places that just kept bringing platters of chicken and biscuits to the table until you stopped eating. Was more of a sit down meal style, but the best hand battered chicken I can remember having ever eaten (besides Grandma's).

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!
