Myself and good friend Rick have been having some good days and some slow days. Fishing between multi weather systems moving in and out has been a challenge. Some water bodies we have fished the bite has been good. Other water bodies it has been slow. We have also experienced when the bite has been non stop and then all of a sudden it has stopped completely and never turned back on. We have fished creeks, rivers, and ponds. For the most part we have had more good days than slow days. We really had to work for what we caught, but it is well worth it. The spawn is still going on. We are catching most of our fish by thick grass beds in 3 to 6 feet of water. Worms with both float and bottom techniques being used. We are catching bass, Redear, Greens/Green Hybrids, Bluegill, Longear, and Redbreast. Bass have been in the 2 to 5 pound range. The sunfish have been in the 7 to 10 inch range. Several fish have been submitted for water body records by both myself and Rick. Great times chasing the sunnies. It just don't get any better! fish

Thanks Yesenia and Steve for the replies. Yesenia: Did you all get any rain form this last system? I was in Brackettville Tuesday and Wednesday. Did not have much time to fish but I did manage to fish the fort. Saw some HUGE RIOS but they were sitting on nest. Spent two solid hours trying to get them to bite. bang Friend of mine who lives on the fort said they had BASEBALL SIZE HAIL with some heavy rain. No damage to their property. thumb

Yep, the bite sure has been strange. Right when you think you found them after catching 4 or 5 nice ones, they dissapear. Move to the next spot and wow, here they are, and then spoof, there gone. Catching some good Bass on Ultra Light is mighty fine, but I think sometimes they move in and run the Sunfish into heavy cover or completely run them off. Sure appreciate Chuck taking me along, just in case I fall in. It sure ain't no fun getting old, but I recon being able to fish everyday, makes up for it. fish

You still get around pretty darn good. Lot's of fishing days ahead. We also got to get those records back that Jamie aka J-Moe as taken away. He needs to change his TFF handle to "Have Rod Will Travel"! bang

Looks like a great week to me. Good job guys. Can you tell if there has been a change in the fish patterns on certain water bodies you are fishing, due to the February freeze. I have also not seen you guys catching any Rios! Thoughts?
