Last November I had a tank dug. Since then I’ve been getting it ready for the big rain by putting in large rock piles, old cinder blocks and brush. Yesterday the big rain came, 3.5” and it’s nearly full. I ordered fathead minnows, copper nose and hybrid bluegill yesterday. I also ordered 30# of crawfish. I’ll put bass in later on once the bait fish get going good. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/04/full-31706-94449-8ec72689_a366_41b2_b161_2bc5b8b09ba4.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/04/full-31706-94450-f0e3e26c_a3cb_4f6f_a634_9f0161ff3f21.jpeg)

Congrats on the new pond! It’s exciting going through the process- We dug our pond in March and it’s now about 60% full. We have also stocked crawfish and around 150 assorted fish we have caught from a creek on my place and a pond next door. We have 5 pounds of fathead minnows and 200 channel cat coming this Saturday. I’d love to see updates as you go-

Except for the catfish we are on the same page. Going to be fun watching this project grow.

I agree it’s going to be fun- I left out that I was researching how to slow down moss growth and decided to put pond dye in there to retard the UV rays from reaching the bottom. It wasn’t very pricey, about $25 from Amazon and I really like how it makes the pond look. The wife likes it so that’s a plus-
