I posted this in the OT a week or so ago and figured I'd make it official. This was my great great grandma's recipe and has been tweaked to make in the microwave. I've tried chocolate gravy from a couple different cafes that offered it but I was not a fan.
In a 3 qt microwavable bowl-
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup flower
1/2 cup Hershey coco powder
1/2 cup milk
Mix until smooth
then add 3 1/2 cups of milk and stir
drop 1 stick of butter in
Cook in microwave for 8 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes or until it becomes gravy consistency.
Then add 1 tsp of vanilla once done

i have yet to try this, but i've heard it's great on pancakes.

i have yet to try this, but i've heard it's great on pancakes. I'll have to try that sometime. I've only tried it on biscuits and dipped a few strawberries in it too.

We like it over hot biscuits or toast. Ate it as a kid 50 years ago and still do with the grandkids. They love it.

My wife and family make this when they get together they talk like it's the cats meow. Eat it over biscuits. Guess I'm too much of a cream gravy fan. It's ok just not for me.
