I am thinking of checking out Averhoff reservoir tomorrow as I get a day off for getting vaccinated. I read something about it being closed because of covid?? Has anyone been there recently? Also how come google shows the access as being in the middle of a field? I can't see a boat launch on google maps.

Plenty of stick ups, overhanging tree limbs, and grass beds. Deep middle. Good variety of fish. Crappie, Sunfish, Bass, and Catfish. Steep boat ramp. Also watch for snakes. Water Moccasins especially. thumb

The lake is open. It is actually the Nueces River between two dams. cheers
