My buddy and his son have shattered the Boerne Lake flathead catfish record multiple times this year fishing from the dock and from a boat. Using the heads of cut perch.
52 LBS from the dock

I was just talking to some friends about this the other day. Used to be a time when the “old timers” all went to the lake and catfished off of the dock. Used to be bait sold at every gas station and a few had live bait, times have definitely changed. Glad to see someone still goes out there and fishes for the cats.

I've told a couple people that I have marked what I believed to be some big catfish on that lake. But I would have guessed that they were blues and not yellows.
I think the pictures above proves that I was right.

So that's where all the fish went, they probably ate most of the fish in the lake.

Now all we need is to have a SAL caught there!

Just one more cast!

Awesome Fish JJ4MEL thumb Congrats!!!

I have fished the lake once and there are some big sunfish in there. It seems to be a very rich environment. A SAL may be in there too!!!
