I purchased a 2021 Skeeter ZXR and after 3 weeks of use the MinnKota 4 bank onboard charger needed to be replaced. Still under warranty. It is going on almost 4 weeks and still do not have replacement. Is this normal or am I just being impatient? Never had to deal with this company on a warranty issue before. Dealership has been very good so far to work with but they canโ€™t give me any answers one way or another. Their original estimate was 7-10 days when I took the rig in for replacement.
Any advice would be welcome

I would be screaming as loud as I could until they really understood the message. I would expect dealer to take one out of another new boat and install into my boat. Then it's done. That's the only solution for great customer service. See how fast you can satisfy the customer just doesn't happen anymore, unfortunately.

get the info from the dealer,...call whoever the new unit is ordered with,..bltch,bltch,bltch til you get results.

Minn Kota is back ordered on everything just like all the other companies.
They put warranty claims first normally though.
Call Minn Kota and ask them

And yes the dealer should rob one from another boat if he has one to get you going.

The dealership has been very upfront and hopefully truthful. I do not want to burn a relationship with them since I have a pre-purchased 5 year full service agreement with them and I do not want bad blood when I bring rig in to do service.
They have no new boats on their floor. Already looked to do a swap.
I have contacted MinnKota twice. No reply.
I appreciate the input.

I would go down to the dealer and talk face to face.. Things get done when you are talking person to person.. I am suprised the dealer didn't take one out of another boat. Small things like that show the level of dedication a dealer has in their business. If you are not talking to the dealer owner, ask to talk to them. Yes, I would be pretty hot. As for MK, i would call and politely ask to speak to a manager. When that manager gets on the phone, ask to speak to their manager.. Poop flows downhill, and I would approach it on a professional level. Sometimes things get overlooked, keep us updated.. I would ask for a daily call from the dealer to update you, spend that much on a boat and have that type of problem is a bummer. Go buy 4 chargers from Wally world and take them back after you get yours replaced.. "you are probably going to hear something about less manpower with covid"..

Call minn Kota and wait on hold till you talk to someone. Have the model and serial number to your unit handy.
It could just simply be a case of there are not any to send out.

There would already be a little "bad blood" from my side if my 3 week old boat already had issues and the dealer didn't jump through hoops to handle my problem...โ€ฆ You can order one off of Amazon and have it in a few days, don't tell me a dealer can't locate one if they wanted to. Your worried because you don't want to offend them, I'd be worried about how they will handle future issues if they can't handle this in a timely manner......

Good point. 10amp 4 bank arrives may 2 from amazon, the 15amp is over a month.

Finall got in touch with Minn Kota.
Issue resolved after some spirited conversation.
Dealership off the hook. They did exactly what they said they were doing. Minn Kota slow playing the issue.

Personally I think that it's insane that you had to lift a finger or make a single phone call on any issue that happened on a 3 week old boat. The dealer should have taken care of all that. I would have been livid. Personally I expect more from a dealer than that. You should expect more from them after purchasing the service plan, not less. If they get their feeling hurt over a client pushing them to get something done they need to find another profession.
