I think now, if 16 Senators vote For it, it will be a done deal and we may be the 21st Constitutional carry state.

Man I pray this passes. I've had my LTC since it first began and I think I'll continue with renewing.

Is the bill for residents only? Or can I carry when I am down there for vacation. I know my MN permit isn't recognized there because our idoits at the state capital don't believe in reciprocity...

I’m not 100% sure but the way that it looks is if you are 21 and can legally own a gun then you can carry. I’m hoping that is the the way it is written as that would be the true meaning of Constitutional carry you have a Constitutional right therefore you are allowed to exercise that right. However, there could be some changes in the finial wording. In Oklahoma you are allowed to do Constitutional carry if you are a nonresident if your state allows permit less carry.

I think this is such a non-issue. Great, you can show your piece at walmart and IHOP, good job. Can we actually deal with a real issue now.

This has NOTHING to do with showing your piece. Correct. The open carry and concealed carry statutes are supposed to stay for the most part intact. So a business (store, restaurant, etc.) can still post the proper 37.06 or 36.06 signs if they choose. We will know the facts when and if this bill becomes law.

MN is trying to pass this, but with a dem Gov and House, I don't see it happening. Only the Rep Senate is keeping us semi-sane. Not counting the stupid stuff happening in Minneapolis and St. Paul...

If you've ever taken a Texas License to Carry course, you would know that the LTC does basically nothing because any moron mouth breather can past that "test." I have an LTC, but I don't know why I have to pay the governement and say pretty can I please exercise my 2nd amendment right?
That's just it. Most of you people are PRO GUN, not PRO 2nd AMENDMENT. There's a difference there.
It's not just the test, it is the background check. Texas performs a deep background check on all applicants. Are fingerprints and palmprints still a requirement? Alabama CC permits are the domain of the county sheriff. No test. No fingerprinting. No qualification. And usually only a county and state background check. It's why we have a smaller reciprocity with other states than Texas has.
He is truly a sick individual.

I find myself being much nicer and more helpful to people who are broken down on the side of the road when I have a .40 tucked into my waste band. I am much more approachable when I know I can shoot you in the face if you take my good nature as weakness.
