Looking at a new place to fish and hopefully not fall out of the yak like last week bang

A couple of guys I was talking to on Crockett said that lake Fannin was a great lake for yak fishing. TPWD website doesn't reference it and apparently hasn't included it in their fisheries studies so there's no real intel available online. Is there anyone on here who can tell me anything about it?

If the wind isn't howling 40mph Sunday I'll make the trip from Keller and check it out.

Be prepared for very bad road conditions leading to the lake, especially after a rain
Beautiful area. Clearer water than Wheeler Branch. It’ll be more stained than usual, but if it hasn’t rained in a while, I’ve seen 20ft visibility there.

Because it’s not managed, mostly stunted, small bass
The crappie are good sized, but I’ve heard from locals not to eat anything out of there.

Lock your vehicle and make sure there are no valuables within sight.
Shady characters there from time to time.

Thanks. The guys that told me about it said the road was a pig trail. Looking for bigger fish so think I'll go somewhere else.
