The letter was just Biden patting himself on the back. What a waste of postage. Exactly what I thought. Add in the cost of paper and printing. Also the salary for the person that wrote it. You know it wasn't Biden. I received one after each stimulus. I think they show the IRS as the return address so you will open it. If it showed the White House it would go straight in the trash.

I e-filed my return and asked for direct deposit of my refund. Both are firsts for me as I've always mailed my return and asked for a check.
The e-filing was Feb 24. Still waiting.

When you guys are saying "checks" you mean like they are going to mail you a paper check? Not direct deposit? You gotta have them just wire you the money into your account.
Dan's winning tip of the day! Mark my words....In our lifetime, there will be a US Dollar Blockchain token made specifically for refunds, stimulus, paying taxes, permits etc..etc.. etc....vs the "direct deposit" where banks take a % via fee. Paper checks - circa 1980s Direct Deposit - circa 2000's-now USD Blockhain token - within 2-3 years I suspect The good part of this development is how every dollar can be accounted for, expanded to welfare programs vs loaded debit cards.... Expanded to pay unemployment...the possibilities are endless and can help Govt waste and fraud. I can only hope... Oh...and what's a refund....man its been a heck of a long time for one of those!!

I basically gave the 1400 back to them when I did my income taxes.

Because I never want to write them a check later. Plus I usually use my refund check for a mini vacation or for something I would never buy.

Filed and they promptly removed money from my account for “taxes within a week.. I’m starting to feel like it’s a stupid tax at this point considering they just keep handing out money like opera to everyone with a pulse..

I don't mind at all. I prefer to invest my money and at the least earn dividends on it. Just save your money for a vacation or what you want.
