I am planning a trip to port O’Conner for several days in mid May. I was studying up on my charts on the navionics app. Chart shows Mitchell’s cut where it feeds into Saluria Bayou to have its deepest point at about 12 feet and to completely pass thru you gotta run in a foot of water! Is this a mistake? I remember just a couple of years ago Mitchell’s cut was like 35 or 40 feet at it’s deepest point and most any boat could run straight thru.

If your interested I run navigational trips out of Seadrift/POC. We take your boat, mark any hazards on the GPS, show you how to navigate safely to and from fishing areas. As well as discuss fishing strategies in these areas. If you would like more info, just give me a call. thanks
