Hey yall!

Hope everyone is getting excited about the warmer weather - fishing has been steadily improving. We took a trip down to Florida and ran into some Jack Crevalle - which are such a fun fish to catch. If you ever get a chance to target these fish go for it! They are a blast!

cheers Even the small ones put up a battle. I'll never forget getting into the big ones (20 lbs +) off Channel Two bridge in Lower Mutacombe, Florida Keys. Huge schools were chasing mullet and chased them into bridge ... slamming them into bridge seawall.. many of the mullet jumped completely out of the water and onto the area I was standing with cast net. Never had to throw it as I had more than I could use flopping on the bank. Free lined a freshly caught 10 inch mullet, and immediately got bit. It would take 15 minutes to get one in on light tackle. Had a crowd gathered watching as you'd get bit as soon as you threw bait out. After the 4th one I gave my rod to this elderly tourist lady from Germany that was watching that wanted to try it. What a sight to watch her battle. She had to have been over 65. Fun times. Those fish are monster fighters.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

The best part is how good they are to eat.

Yes, cook them in foil. When done throw away the fish and eat the foil.
