True olds played outside, had BB gun wars, bottle rocket wars, and never came inside the house to "play"(if they did they might get they arse beat). Weird. My parents parented and allowed me to play with technology while also making me play outside quite a bit. I drank from a water hose, had a sling shot, rode my bike through the neighborhood, played tackle football, all that good stuff. But they also let me play video games, learn on a computer, etc. Now I can help them with their cell phones, email, printers, etc because they’re olds and don’t know how to do any of that, but they let me play video games. And I’m still feeling pretty old.
