As a seller, what is required when selling a boat from one Texas resident to another Texas resident? Bill of Sale, signed copies of titles, ownership transfer notification....anything else? Just can't remember since last time.

Thank you,
Okie cheers

If you are purchasing a new boat from a dealer;
- Run your sale through the Dealership as an In-and-Out.
- This will save you the tax on the amount you are getting for your old boat.
- The dealer will take care of all the paperwork for your buyer; like tax, title and license.

Correct Donald, but that applies to the buyer as far as paying taxes. You can do it on new OR used. I had a dealer do it for me for $500 and saved me about $1700 in taxes, so $1200 in savings. Def worth it if you're the buyer.

My buyer always pays that Dealership fee to do the paperwork. It is figured in with his Tax, Title and License Fees on my old boat.

Hope you are not having to sell your Skeeter unless you are getting another.

Getting another Mr. Perry. Waiting on final pricing on a 21 sitting on a lot. I may decide to order a 2022 model in July.
