With the lake being as low as it is right now, how far can you go up the Devils river and is it sketchy to run. I’ve never been up there. Also, is there a public Ramp up at rough canyon? Also, is there any cabins or rooms to rent up that way.

Rough canyon has a ramp. There are places to rent a room also Ruthies is one, but the best is the Lodge at Sanders Point.

Correct and there was a more water in the lake than there is right now and it looks to be dropping pretty quick.

Water is still dropping so be careful anything north of Rough Canyon. As you get up near the springs there are some large boulders underwater. Unless you can find the white bass running, no reason to go up that far imo.

How much lower does it need to get before the old dam on the Devil's River comes into play? I remember it having about 15 FOW on top of it back in the 90's when the lake got super low. Caught a bunch of fish off of it.

Lake walk plant , Still not in play until 70 low or so. The last time it was at the record low you could see some shadow's of it.

There's no turning around on that run Ray ran. It was only like 6-8 ft wide and about 10 inches. Friends of mine ran that run the same summer BP boat followed just in case they got stuck. Ray ran it quick to keep on plane with engine up as high as possible. Not sure if there's any water in it or not? It wasn't his first rodeo while making the run.

Dude has to have nuts the size of footballs to make it, I know it paid off for him, don’t think I would have attempted it. Hell I wouldn’t attempt it, if it was 16” deep.

Don't think GPS will do you any good running in that skinny of water.
