A friend who was a paramedic gave me a good kit. Disposable sutures and thread, disposable scalpels, gloves, hypo needles, lidocaine, multiple bandages, antiseptic and a few other goodies. Fairly small kit. He did it after I got a set of treble hooks in the tendon at the back of my neck and they had to cut them out.

Advil for the hangover is all you should need at a deer lease

I would add Blow Up Doll if you get trapped for many days.

One might do better building their own kit and start by asking what they would want to treat. Basics would be multiple pairs of gloves, an bunch of gauze both 4x4 and rolls. Multiple Quick Clot packs and multiple Israeli bandages. Bandage shears and several hemostats , al least 8" ones but preferably a 10" pair. Lots of bandage tape. Several quality tourniquets would be good.

Also taking a trauma course or 2 wouldn't hurt. I know even as an ICU nurse I carried a TNCC certification for at least the last 12 years of my practice.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Tell her to protect her license and only do BLS, anything else is practicing medicine without a license. I hate to be negative but we live in a lawsuit world and the BON is pretty clear on this and Good Samaritan laws only go so far.

there are alot of decent BLS kits on amazon as well. Throw in a few quick clots and tourniquets in as well. But as it was stated before, that could bring some serious liability issues into play nowadays.
