2004 TR 21X Been a fantastic fishing machine. Yes a new boat would be great with latest equipment but not willing to spend that kind of money when this one is very suitable with a few minor upgrades over the years.

There are a few things that came from Ranger. The seats are ten times better.

BPS bought Legend so they would have a new facility. Legend never sold enough units to be a serious contender to Ranger, Triton or Nitro.

I looked over some new Tritons at mu local BPS. Seats look nice but they felt a little hard. Are they using the same livewells as the NItros now?

I did not care for the plastic up front. It felt thin and cheap. Overall they look nice and have some good features. I think they look at step above the Nitros and they put a 225 on a 19' boat.

They seem to have quite a few new models in the smaller boats. If I was looking for an 18ft boat I would certainly give them a look.

On top of that, I think people forget to think outside their bass boat world. Triton builds a whole host of other type of very popular boats that most people that were spouting the demise of Triton didn’t give much thought into.

And legend was 10x the boat triton was. IMO at least. But ol Johhny cares only about volume. Just business I guess.

On par or maybe a little better at best and nor near enough volume going out the door to be sustainable

I was in both same year models, its all opinion but I though Legend was a much much better boat. Legend customer service had that Champion in its prime feel.

There was nothing special about ol' Earls boat building. Never understood the loyal following of a businessman who's only intent is to flip companies he starts.

Apparently you have not seen the Caymas. Awesome boat by Earl B. so you have no idea what you are talking about. There are a ton of businesses that are started up only to have someone offer you a great deal to buy you out do you do. Good business sense. Thats how it works.

Exactly. The new owner always wants to change something so it will never be the same. What do you not get?????????

I think you're the one not getting it. Nothing wrong with Earls boats at all. Just funny that soon as he sells one people suddenly think over night all the boats manufactured after the sale are junk when it fact their the same as they were before the sale. Same crying tune when he left Hydra-Sport for Stratos then when he left them for Triton. Soon as he sold Triton to Ol; Johnny everyone said they were junk. Cracks me up.
