That reminds me, I need to renew mine here pretty soon. Politics and hoops to jump through in Texas to get one is a joke. When I was in Arizona years ago took a class on a Saturday and the instructor even did the finger prints. Mailed in the prints, application and a check that evening. 6 days later had my permit in the mail. Only reason I have a Texas one was years ago my then girlfriend who's now my wife wanted one but wouldn't take the class alone so I did it with her.

Just got my renewal in the mail, 3 weeks. I was shocked. I have had it 20 yrs 4th or 5th renewal. I think I will go through the class again, I try to do it every 5 yrs or so, Laws are changing every year.
