Guys I saw a glimpse of something like this in a video and want to build one for my boat barn so I can roll up next to the boat in the boat barn. I found this one online, wondering if anyone has built one like this or even one that is straight up and down so it doesn't lean away from the boat. If so would you share pics, I am trying to figure out how to build and brace the bottom so it won't tip over as it needs to be pretty tall. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/04/full-19825-93176-screen_shot_2021_04_18_at_3.39.15_pm.png)

Not difficult at all...a few 2x4's, some plywood for the base, some casters, and pegboard. Make sure the base is wide so it won't tip over. You can add some extra weight at the back (like a cinder block) to weight it down and keep it from tipping

You don’t need pegs or peg board below the deck line of your boat while on the trailer. The top of the peg board probably needs to clear the garage door when it’s in the up position. What are you going to put on the backside? Storage shelves? Rod rack?

Ken, ironically this weekend I was looking at the same challenge. I've got the metal framed pegboards from father in law's shop clean out, now working on how to put them on rollers. Going to Lowes or Home Depot tomorrow to look at metal right angle braces and thinking of using small movers type rolling platforms for the base and mobility. Now using one of those under an air compressor and its holding up well. Think I got it at Northern Tool or Harbor Freight for around $10 so need a couple of those. Getting the materials together this week and then headed to the lakehouse to see if I can fit it all together. Will send you a pic when done.

Thanks MDM, I want to actually make it double sided so I can put baits on both side, if it works well I make make a second one only shorter for tools so I can wheel to whatever I'm working on and have tools handy. The trick to this one is I want to pegs to start about at the rub rail on the boat so I can access them easily when I pull it close to the boat to load and unload tackle. Rub tail on trailer is 45" high and I want to double stack pegboard, so that adds 48" more of height. This thing will wind up being almost 8 feet tall, and you can put pegs 8 across by 6 down on each side, so that's 96 pegs. I bet each of the pegs I have up now have a pound of soft plastics on them, so I'll be putting 100 lbs of plastic and 90% of it will be on the top half. I know I can make the base really wide and it would support the weight, but that's not really the design I have in mind. Just trying to find something somebody else has done to see how the engineered the weight/stability issue (and yeah I've thought about lead weights on the base).

How close to the side wall do you park your boat Ken?

Fivebites a long way, the building is 36 x 40 so it has tons of room. I have peg boards on several of the walls, probably 200-300 or more pegs up now, sadly full so I have stuff in boxes and stuff i want to move in and out of the boat, so something I can roll around would be perfect.

Bought the steel corner brackets and wheel assemblies today! Going to work on construction on the next lake trip.
After re-reading your post about how you want to use yours, think you may have to go steel framework to handle the height/weight you are targeting.
