Myself with fishing buddy Jeff fished from the yaks this past week. We fished from 9am till around 4pm. The crappie spawn is over where we fish. The Bluegill spawn is on it's second wave. Crappie caught in 10 to 12 feet of water by brush piles, holding by shallower water. Jigs Chartreuse/Pink worked well. The Bluegill were in grass beds 5 to 8 feet of water closer to the banks. Gulp alive leaches on a drop shot rig got the job done on the Bluegill. We were fishing one of our river spots. Fishing traffic was light. All fish this trip were released. Always a good thing when you can fish. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/04/full-62188-93151-bluegill_crappie_2_1_13_007.jpg)
