There was talk I would guide some this springtime and than retire.
Just so everyone knows I have made the Hard Decision to give up Guiding!

It's in my heart to be on the water with all the great Guides I have truly learned to love over the years. I will miss everything about it.
From leaving Oakcove Marina at Daylight heading under that 287 Bridge judging the wind making my plan, with a full boat of fishermen ready to fill there limits!

Like everyone who's career comes to a end. Your body has wore out or maybe it's a combination of things but you know it's time!

My dear wife who washed so many dirty guide shirts and shorts.
Cooked enough food for me to eat all week and did it all in one day 23 years ago. It took a little longer the last few years.
Thank you Janis, your tougher than any of us old Fishing Guides!

Chris Watson has always been with me fish for fish. We both had our strengths and weaknesses together 20 plus years ago they said we were a pair of loaded Pistols! The Glory Day's, those were the best.

Chris Watson will be running his business as well as covering my customer base.

Let me give a shout out to who we call  Customers the first time they got in the boat. These Men,  Women and their families go back 20 plus years. So many or real life friends.
I know their Mothers and Dads names I know their children's names. The one's that have left us now I remember them most of all.
I thank about these past trips I tell stories about the stories they told me.
Sorry Folk, I will miss you all, call me share a story!

You are blessed, and hope you enjoy your free time. It is hard to quit doing what you love, but I bet it will be nice not having to cater to anyone but you and your better half for a change. I don't think we will stop seeing posts from you, it is always good to get updates..

Bob, Chris, Adam & I have a lot of good memories! It sure has been great the last 20 years as we've made our 45,000 acre a lot easier to find fish on when four of us are going in different directions!!! cowboy

Bob's truly "One of the Good Guys"! We will miss seeing the BIG RED BAYSTEALTH every morning!

Good Luck and Enjoy the Good Times Ahead!

Royce & Adam

Thanks,

Bob,
I will truly miss seeing my good friend whenever I go down to Richland Chambers. I remember that first trip when you took me out with my clients nearly 20 years ago. We had several trips like that in the years following, and not only did you always put us on fish but you were always professional and my clients always commented on what a great guide you were. The last several years I would always stop by your camp if you were outside when I drove by. Talking to you then was as good as the fishing.

Thank you for the advice and friendship on the lake. I hope your health is good and you enjoy your retirement.

God bless!!!!

Could not pay me enough to be a guide. It's a very hard job. Saw a guide on PK today fighting the wind and cold. Probably have to fight to get paid because fishing will be tough with this cold front. Regardless, he sure is a trooper to take those folks out on the lake in 20 MPH winds and cold temps.

Guides have a tough job, long hours, little sleep, and all we see is a boat full of fish and smiling faces. Congratulations on a very good career and I hope an even greater retirement.
