Many if not most shootings happen among friends or families. I wonder how many more will happen if it is more convenient? Crimes of passion, friends or spouses in arguments, kids getting to guns that are carelessly left out, someone enraged at the tax office, etc and etc?

The great majority of gun deaths in this country are suicides....accidental gun deaths are miniscule......millions of people have concealed carry permits....I'm unaware that a single one in Texas ever committed a murder. Guns are not societies problem, people are. More people choke to death annually than are killed by AR's .... actually several times more people. You're worried about regulation of a thing that is actually not an issue....the issue is the lie that it's an issue.

Red are states that Currently have Permitless Carry. Blue are states that have introduced legislation to become Permitless carry. Texas just needs Senate approval and Signature by the Gov. Then it is done. Still felons and criminals, (which covers most of the left) will not legally be able to carry.

They were going to commit those crimes regardless, this will have zero effect.

Basically, Texas just went permit less this morning. Still has some additional work but passed the House. Per BRIETBART!

I'm on the fence as to whether Abbott will sign it.

I don't think he will.

I hope he does... But I could see him saying that everything under the current system is working fine and that he wants to support law enforcement and law enforcement is against it.

I think there is an inverse relationship between one that would open carry and his mental capacity.
