Talked to my boss of 5 years on Tuesday afternoon. Good discussion, we're doing well as a district and largely in part to his steady leadership. Wake up Wednesday morning and head out to my first job of the day. Before I get to the site, my phone is blowing up. It's the regional director calling to tell me my boss died in his sleep. Non smoker, good health, not overweight and early 60's. Not Covid related. Just sucks.
If you got people in your life that mean something to you, tell them the are appreciated while you can. Tomorrow ain't promised to any of us.

Had that happen to a friend who I fished with often, ADP on the TFF.
We had just finished fixing up his house at Lake Kiowa and he passed in his sleep. Tough to take not getting to say goodbye.
