I always like to have a camera with me -- always lots of critters to take pictures of.

I shared a stream with this guy up on Prince of Wales Island back in 2017.

I guess tube fishing at Choke is a no-no. Or wading for crappie in the creeks!

I read this and it brought back to my memory of what happened several years ago when I was fishing with my brother out of his boat and we were working down the right side bank from the Mason Point launch.
We were casting along the brush and there was a guy in a float tube fishing in the brush that lined the shallow shoreline.
we were having a conversation talking about the huge alligator we had just seen swimming across in front of the launch.
As we spotted the guy we asked how he was doing and vise versa, and then I mentioned to him about the gator we had just seen not far from where we both were fishing.
He didn't say anything, and then as we continued down the bank I heard loud splashing.
I turned only to see the guy actually running holding his tube up and making a mad dash for the boat ramp.
I felt bad for the guy, that I had ruined his fishing trip with that news, but it beats not saying anything and ruining my trip, and him possibly having even a worse day.

Just one more cast!

The alligators don’t particularly scare me, but you’re more of a man than me, if you get a float tube into that lake. Between the water moccasins, alligator gar, snapping turtles, alligators, sharp sticks/stumps, left over trot/throw lines...what could possibly go wrong??? hmmm
