Wonder where they will make up all that revenue from? Those fees are not peanuts when you add up how many of these are issued a year and renewed. that's all it comes down to. Revenue from applications and renewals account for less than 1% of the states annual revenue. I'd like to think it's a decision based on educating people that'll be carrying guns.

What would really make me excited is if they started to implement a firearm education program in public schools. They did, remember that guy that was famous on youtube for shooting himself in the leg in front of a class? Just think, he had training......

I know I will get beat up for this on here but as a Leo I look at this as great, more armed encounters! Some people have no business carrying a gun, especially around families. At least with concealed carry you had some level of training and basic instruction in deescalation. Most of the idiots who have no business carrying a gun would probably be dumb enough to carry without the proper licensing. So you’re argument is moot. oh the inexperience of youth. so, you don't think that people who know they can't get a license would start carrying? someone with dui's? maybe some strong misdemeanors? etc. I am 110% pro 2nd and also expect to get beat up for it but I agree the lee, the current system works to keep a lot of folks that should not be armed from being armed with guns. just too much bs goin on in cities now.

I’m confused, open carry or concealed?
call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

Why does the open carry movement seem to attract some real winners?

Stop being a fudd. are you ready to pull/shoot someone who just did something stupid due to not knowing anything about guns? they pull at the least intimidation and you gonna cap da arse? way too many examples of people doing stupid stuff without adding guns to the equation, it is a guaranteed right but with the ability to kill someone comes a certain amount of responsibility and I just don't see it in the avg 20 something with a man bun.

Why does the open carry movement seem to attract some real winners? This is weird. When did it become ok to judge someone but their appearance?

Why does the open carry movement seem to attract some real winners? because there is no mold for people who believe in our constitution and bill of rights, judgmental much? perhaps a comment from you on their skin color?

Add another vote. LEO already have enough to deal with! Too many nuts and ill-trained folks for this to be good for anyone.

Perhaps I should have posted a pic of "an average 20 something with a man bun"?

Years ago I was working in Yuma, AZ for a defense contractor. At the time open carry was legal but you needed a CCP for concealed carry. To say there were lots of people who opened carry was an understatement. When the changed the law to allow conceal carry without a permit over night open carry became nonexistent and nobody was shooting themselves in the foot. Seems the only ones against it are LE's in lib cities and the libs themselves.
