an old man told me to target crappie in shade(Bridges docks ect) on sunny days vs target them near timber /brush on cloudy. what are your experiences with those scenarios in the spring?

I prefer sun 95 percent of the time. It pushes the fish in the cover I am fishing. The only time I want clouds is in the creek when I am jig and bobber fishing. It allows me a better chance of catching crappie without having to get as close to the cover.

Either one. Caught many of crappie on both sunny and cloudy days!

Either one. Caught many of crappie on both sunny and cloudy days! This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Although I prefer clouds as it is cooler and I can see my graphs better.
