Saw the story on WFAA.com. Can’t get it to load on here right now

It's on Fox4 as well. PD hasn't released much info at all.

Literally right down the street from my sister's house and an elementary school.

Hope they find the thugs real soon and put them behind bars.

When I initially read the report, I thought it was at 4:15 p.m. that this took place. I did not realized until about 10 minutes ago it took place this morning at 4:15.

Burleson/Joshua have always been pretty sleepy little suburbs until now. The Burleson City Council has allowed so many new apartments/housing developments that we're over run with people out here. I am ready to move. I wish I could find a place about 30 minutes from work, but still have a 'country' feel to it...don't see that happening, though. I would just move back to the lake, but it's 1.25 hours from work and I ain't getting up at 3:30 a.m. 3 days a week to go to work.

Yeah this isn’t suppose to happen in Burleson. The neighborhood it happened in is right by Burleson BHS. It’s not an affluent neighborhood but it’s a nice neighborhood. Joshua ISD has a middle school on lockdown. This is getting out of control as if it’s a war between police and thugs.

Hate to say it, but I think these perps are gone in the wind. Just speculating, but my bet is they were in a stolen or otherwise untraceable vehicle and set it on fire to destroy any physical evidence they may have left inside.

Prayers for a full recovery for the officer, and hopefully he can somehow identify the bastards.

Yeah, my sister lives in that subdivision, like .1 mile from where the stop/shooting took place. It's filled with middle/upper middle class families, several are teachers/coaches. The middle school is near an area that butts up to old Mountain Valley, which is where I live. There are still a lot of woods behind my house and in the area surrounding Mountain Valley Lake by Towne...our area is also filled with middle/upper middle class, but my neighborhood is mostly older folks.

I pray they catch these idiots soon.

Yep, Aledo’s not far behind. They keep building athletic dorms (apartments).
