We went shallow all day. Caught our 2 biggest while the shad spawn was happening early. But only caught 2 more all day. We must have flipped a thousand trees and only got one bite doing it. Wound up only weighing in 4 just needed a 4 pounder to get a check. Oh well on to Cedar Creek! How did you guys do?

We started off almost getting killed by a guy in a Nitro at daylight. Guy ran across a minefield of stumps and slid out into the lane 10 yards infront of us completely soaking us with motor spray. Unfortunately for 1 of the 2 boats following this jackwad through the stumps didn’t fare so well. They hit one good then a second that brought the boat to a complete stop from a decent amount of speed. Did not look good but atleast didn’t throw anyone from the boat. Don’t follow anyone you don’t know, this US Open deal has brought out more stupid than I’ve ever seen on Ray Bob. Thankfully we had a little time to gather ourselves before first cast...

It took most of the day to get there but finished with 20 lbs even and an 8.69 kicker. No sight fishing or Shad spawn for us, just 3/4 of a tank of gas and 6000 casts for 7-8 keepers. Happy with a respectable finish but even happier to still be alive and well.

Geeze! I didn't see anything exciting like that.

We had to change up our game plan thanks to the nice breezy morning and rest of the day. We could only scrape up 4 keepers for 13 lbs. Lost 2 fish that probably would have cut us a check. But oh well. At least the boats in one piece and the lower unit is still attached!!! banana

We were sitting in an area fan casting., back of a pocket. Joe's throwing toward a couple of trees that aren't far away at all and a grassy area behind the trees.. A boat pulls in and starts to pull directly in front of Joe. Way too close to us. I asked if they were in the tourney and they said they were prefishing for next week. Joe lit into as nicely as you can. They said ok and pulled out right in between these 2 trees that are about 20 feet apart lol.

I give em a very tiny bit of credit for not continuing on. That was absolutely ridiculous. They were about 45 feet away.

Better yet, bring your tools and set up shop at the entrance to Jordan. It'll sell for a premium if t hey can replace it right then!
