Between kids, work and weather, time to fish has been hard to come by as of late. Got out to Lady Bird Lake Sunday morning. I need to have a word with the weatherman, who promised me 60 at 6am. When I hit the water at 6 it was a balmy 46 degrees, but the water was 68 according to my Lowrance. As usual started in Barton Creek just below the pool. Caught this monster on my first cast:
The monster bass were also biting, caught this guy on a Strike King Bitsy Minnow.

The big fish of the day was a 10.5 inch sunfish I caught at the pedestrian bridge halfway down the creek.

Moved out onto the main lake and headed upstream to fish the laydowns and private docks West of the MOPAC bridges. Not a lot of big fish yet, but caught quite a few, dressed in their Sunday best:

By 11am it was getting warm, the paddleboards and rental kayaks were out in force and I decided to call it a day. Overall a good day of fishing. Caught 68 assorted sunfish/bluegill and 3 bass. All of the bass and the 10.5 inch sunfish were caught on a Strike King Bitsy Minnow. The other fish were evenly split, half on the Bitsy Minnow half on Gulp Alive Minnows (Smelt Color, Berkley said some guy in New Braunfels bought all of the Emerald Shiner, Watermelon Pearl and Chartreuse) on a 1/32d OZ Trout Magnet Jig Head.
