cheers Indeed it is.

I took a year off as I was not enjoying it. It sure felt good to get out a couple of weeks ago on Holbrook.

I taught all of my kids to fish, 2 boys and 1 girl. When I plan a trip with them I think they look forward to it more than me. Seeing your kids enjoy the outdoors and bonding with them is what it’s all about. Nothing better than seeing the smile on their face when they catch a big bass!

There may be no crying in baseball, but there should definitely be no yelling in fishing unless you have a FISH-ON!

fishing with my club gives me such a high whether I catch a fish or not. We used to fish saltwater and landed and lost many great species. And many were eaten..

One time we were surf fishing at Cape Cod. We fished most of the night and in the morning counted 25 bluefish between 15 and 18 pounds each and had an argument about who caught the 13. Naturally Cheryl said she won.
All the fish were caught on top water pencil poppers that we found on the beach the previous morning, apparently lost the night before. Some guys just don't use metal leaders for the sharp toothed blues.

My daughter sent me on a full day in shore trip for my B'Day last month. I caught a lot of nice fish. Snook, Trout and Reds, all on MH spinning 30 braid / 20 leader. Topwater and live shrimp freeline I loved catching Snook, that one you are holding is awesome

This is on my bucket list. Booked a Tarpon guide several years ago out of Galveston and all we caught was Shark.

Where did you go Hop?

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

manzanillo costa rica, far se corner on the sixaola river, border with panama. spent a month in the fall down there for a few yrs. also guided on 2 rivers back in the 80s for a season (friend started a rafting co.), had use of a friend from fla. house in a suburb of san jose. some of the most fun fishing you will ever have, I only have one picture on here but j.p.s are awesome examples.

it just don't get no mo bettah than a big ole tarpon jumpin. they can flat wear ya out.
